Arrests in Pompano Beach
Pompano Beach does not have its own police department. Law enforcement in the city is provided by the Broward Sheriff’s Office under a contract, as BSO District 11, with its district office at 100 SW 3rd Street, Pompano Beach, about 8 miles straight-line from Adam’s office. Patrol cars carry the Pompano Beach name, but the officers are BSO deputies.
That matters in a DUI case: BSO has its own DUI Unit, with a DUI Task Force that runs checkpoints and a Breath Alcohol Testing program using the Intoxilyzer 8000, including a mobile testing truck. How BSO’s procedures were followed is part of every Pompano Beach DUI defense.
