DUI arrests in Hialeah
A Hialeah DUI starts a criminal case and a license suspension. You have 10 days from the arrest to act on the license. The Bureau of Administrative Reviews office that serves Miami-Dade is temporarily closed to the public, and the hearing request can be sent by email. See the 10-day rule, Florida DUI penalties and DUI defense.
For a first DUI, the Miami-Dade State Attorney has a diversion program called Back on Track. Prosecutors decide eligibility, looking at criminal history, driving history and the circumstances of the arrest.
