Arrests in Hollywood
Hollywood has its own police department, the Hollywood Police Department, headquartered at 3250 Hollywood Boulevard, about 7 miles straight-line from Adam’s office. The Broward Sheriff’s Office runs the county jail system, so a person arrested in Hollywood is booked into BSO custody and, if not released on bond, sees a judge at first appearance within 24 hours. Broward first appearances are held at the Central Courthouse in Fort Lauderdale, with the person appearing by video from the jail.
